Definition of Adnexa

Adnexa: This Latin word (in the plural) is used in
medicine in reference to appendages. For example, in gynecology the adnexa are the
"appendages" of the uterus, namely the ovaries, Fallopian tubes and ligaments
that hold the uterus in place.
